Your privacy is fundamental to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Pyaardo – Match & Chat collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our application.

By using Pyaardo and accepting this Privacy Policy during onboarding, you give us informed consent to process your data as described herein. You cannot use the app without accepting this Policy.

We collect the following personal data from you during registration and app use:

We use your personal data only for the purposes listed below:

• Account creation & authentication — Verify your identity through Google OAuth
• Profile display — Show your name, photo, and bio to other users in matching
• Age verification — Ensure compliance with our 18+ policy
• Random & personal matching — Use gender and location to facilitate relevant matches
• Video & audio calls — Enable real-time communication between matched users
• Notifications — Send match alerts, messages, and important updates
• Safety & moderation — Detect, investigate, and act on reported violations
• App improvement — Analyze aggregated usage data to improve features
• Legal compliance — Fulfil obligations under applicable laws

We collect your real-time or approximate location when you grant location permission. This is used to:

• Show you users in your geographic area
• Enable location-based matching
• Display distance between users (approximate, not exact address)

Pyaardo facilitates live video and audio calls between users. Important points:

• Video calls are live and real-time; they are not recorded or stored by us
• We do not store audio or video content from user calls on our servers
• Recording or taking screenshots of calls without consent is strictly prohibited
• If you report a user for conduct during a call, we may request relevant evidence

Matches made through the Matching section are treated as fully private and confidential. The details of your matched connections are not visible to any third party or unmatched users. Conversation content between matched users is encrypted in transit and is accessible only to the participants of that conversation.

We do NOT sell your personal data. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors (cloud hosting, analytics) who process data strictly on our behalf under data processing agreements
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government authority under applicable Indian or international law
• Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the company, or the public
• Business Transfer: In event of merger or acquisition, data may be transferred to the new entity with equivalent privacy protections

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Data encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
• Secure OAuth 2.0 authentication via Google Sign-In
• Access controls limiting who within our team can access user data
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Prompt incident response procedures for data breaches

However, no system is completely secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (India), you have the following rights:

• ✅ Right to Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• ✅ Right to Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• ✅ Right to Deletion / Erasure — Delete your account and request permanent data removal
• ✅ Right to Withdraw Consent — Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
• ✅ Right to Grievance Redressal — File a complaint with our grievance officer
• ✅ In-App Controls — Edit profile, delete messages, block users, logout, or delete account directly in the app

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@pyaardo.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law:

• Active account data: Retained for the duration of your account
• Deleted account data: Permanently removed within 30 days of account deletion request
• Messages: Retained until deleted by the user or 90 days post-account deletion
• Legal/compliance data: May be retained longer if required by law

Pyaardo is strictly for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we discover that a user is under 18, their account will be immediately terminated and their data deleted.

If you believe a minor is using our service, please report it immediately to safety@pyaardo.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email. The "Effective Date" at the top of this policy will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the app after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
